Intermediate – Senior Accountant - Business Services - $70k - $100k

About the business

DMG Accounting Services is a local accounting firm, operating in the town of Dalby in the Western Downs region for over 20 years. Located only 50 Minute drive west of Toowoomba and under 3 hours from Brisbane. 

We strive to provide quality service to our clients in a wide variety of areas including taxation, business advisory, accounting, self managed superannuation funds, estate and succession planning.

About the role

The role will include;

- Preparation of Financial Statements & Tax Returns (Sole Trader, Partnership, Trust, Companies, Self-Managed Superannuation Funds etc.)

- Preparation of Business Activity Statements/ Instalment Activity Statements

- Lodgement of Single Touch Payroll

- Providing assistance to clients with computer software packages (eg Xero/MYOB)

- Liaise with ATO on client matters

- Mentoring of junior staff

- Other duties as required

Skills and experience

You will have;

- A tertiary qualification in Business/Commerce or demonstrated relevant experience

- A CPA/CA qualification (or willing to work towards)

- 2 – 7+ years experience in an Accounting role in public practice

- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, excel ect)

- Experience working with major accounting software providers (Xero, MYOB Reckon ect.) 

- Good communication skills 

- Good presentation and high attention to detail

- Ability to work in a team

- Ability to manage own workflow
