We're working with a market-leading organisation based in Sydney CBD to appoint a divisional Accountant into a high-visibility, commercially focused role.

This is not your standard accounting position. You'll sit close to the business, partnering with senior stakeholders, owning financial performance, and playing a key role in driving growth, insight and decision-making.

The role:

• Own the Business Unit P&L and balance sheet, ensuring accuracy, integrity and timely reporting
• Deliver high-quality monthly reporting, variance analysis and actionable insights to senior leaders
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to influence performance and outcomes
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning cycles
• Get involved in strategic initiatives including growth projects, tenders and acquisitions
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems and reporting
• Build strong relationships across finance, operations and leadership

About you:

• Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce, CA/CPA (or working towards)
• 3-5 years' experience in a commercial or accounting role
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
• Naturally curious, commercially minded and keen to get into the detail
• Strong communicator, able to influence and build relationships across the business
