Accountant - Leading Industry Pay

We are currently seeking an Accountant based in Woolloomooloo, Sydney, NSW. 

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Management & reconciliation of fortnightly doctor billings & doctor distributions process.
• Preparation and ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain several internal controls, including management of credit card system. Assist in the roll-out of new credit card reconciliation process. 
• Preparation of monthly P&L reports, including analysis of expenditure to support operational stakeholders. 
• Support annual audit process, including liaising directly with external auditors. 
• Support completion and lodgment of annual Fringe Benefits Tax return. 
• Assist commercial finance team in the annual budgeting process. 
• Ad hoc reporting and participation in projects. 

Candidate Portfolio: 

• Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field.
• At least two years full-time, relevant employment experience. 
• Currently enrolled or planning to enroll in professional further education (CPA/CA/CIMA).
• Experience working within complex environments – multi-entity, multi-cost centers. 
• Ability to work to & manage multiple deadlines. 
• Experience maintaining internal accounting controls. 
• Understanding of monthly close procedures. 
• Experience working with Microsoft Navision Dynamics or Salesforce systems are preferred, but not required. Alternately, experience working with major accounting systems (e.g. Oracle, Sage, Zero, QuickBooks) is required. 
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
