About the opportunity
Our client is a respected, multi-disciplinary financial services group with a strong national footprint and a genuine commitment to staff development. They're looking for an Accountant to join their Business Advisory division, supporting a broad range of clients across companies, trusts, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
This is the kind of role where no two days look the same. You'll be involved in compliance and tax work, but you'll also get early exposure to business advisory - giving you the breadth of experience that genuinely accelerates a career in public practice.
What you'll be doing
Preparing tax returns, financial statements, and work papers for a diverse range of entities
Producing business advice reports and supporting advisory deliverables
Handling client communications and building strong ongoing relationships
Liaising with the ATO and other government bodies on client matters
Supporting bookkeeping, reconciliations, and compliance documentation
Working collaboratively within a team that includes local, offshore, and virtual resources

About you
Accounting degree qualified (essential)
2+ years experience in public practice accounting
Currently enrolled in or about to commence CA, CPA, or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and solid grasp of Australian tax and accounting standards
Excellent communication skills - confident with clients and comfortable in a team
A self-starter who takes ownership of their own growth and development
