Accounting Manager - NFP Leader - Immediate Start

The Role
In this newly created position, the role will be working closely with the Financial Controller / CFO, with the responsibilities including but not limited to: 

• Oversee and manage financial reporting, including analysis of subsidiary results and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead and develop the General Ledger and Accounts Payable teams, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
• Coordinate and review the preparation for external audits, implementing audit recommendations and ensuring high-quality documentation.
• Administer the finance ERP system, monitor system efficiencies, and manage cash forecasting and investment requirements.
• Ensure compliance with tax-related returns, insurance renewals, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, advise on key accounting treatments, and manage the monthly and annual close process.

About You

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• Active membership in a professional accounting association (CA or CPA)
• Proven experience in team leadership and staff development
• Over 7 years of experience in a financial accounting role
• Preferably knowledgeable about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
• Familiarity with Power BI is a plus
