About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your accounting expertise with consultative sales in a fast-growing legal-tech environment. You'll work entirely with warm inbound leads - small business owners who have already raised their hand for accounting support - guiding them through consultations and matching them to the right Lawpath solution.

This is a phone-based sales role with a strong advisory element. You'll lean on your accounting knowledge to build trust quickly, understand each client's financial position, and convert them into long-term customers. You'll own the full sales cycle from first call to close, and you'll be rewarded with uncapped commission for doing it well.

This role sits within our Sales Team and will report to the Services Team Leader.

What you'll be up to:

Client Consultations

• Lead inbound consultations across tax returns, BAS lodgements, bookkeeping, and ongoing accounting advice


• Deliver proactive, clear advice that helps SMB clients understand their position and the value of getting it sorted


• Translate technical accounting concepts into plain language clients can act on

Sales & Conversion

• Convert warm inbound leads into Lawpath Tax & Advisory clients through consultative selling


• Manage a variety of leads across new business, win-back, and upsell opportunities


• Hit monthly and quarterly targets and earn uncapped commission for doing so


• Match client needs to the right Lawpath services and help them understand the value of acting now

Pipeline & Operations

• Keep Salesforce accurate and up-to-date so the team has clean pipeline visibility


• Hit daily activity KPIs and contribute to weekly team reporting


• Spot opportunities to improve our service and flag them to the team
  

Cross-Functional

• Collaborate with our legal, product, and sales teams to deliver a seamless client experience


• Share insights from client conversations that shape how we package and price our services

About You

You'll bring:

• Accounting knowledge - solid understanding of tax returns, BAS, bookkeeping, and general accounting principles


• Hands-on experience with Xero and BAS processes


• Strong phone-based communication skills (this is primarily a phone role)


• A track record of hitting individual revenue or sales targets (B2B preferred)


• Confidence in translating technical accounting into client-friendly language


• Comfortable learning new systems quickly

You're someone who:

• Genuinely enjoys helping small business owners get on top of their finances


• Can hold a consultative conversation and close a deal in the same call


• Owns your numbers and your pipeline without needing to be chased


• Is curious, organised, and works well both independently and in a team
