Ashburton Aboriginal Corporation (AAC) is a not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation providing direct services to enable Aboriginal people to participate in employment and economic opportunities. With a presence in Perth and across the Pilbara region, our Head Office is based in Tom Price, WA. Our footprint extends across much of the vast Pilbara region, and we have been successfully supporting the development of opportunities for Aboriginal people in the region for many years. 

POSITION SUMMARY

AAC are seeking a full time Accounts/Administration Officer for our Perth based office to support the Corporate Services and Accounts team. You will provide general administration and corporate accounting practices to meet our operational needs and assist in delivering an effective and efficient administrative service. This is a full-time position however hours are negotiable for the right candidate.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in Inventory reconciliations.
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Liaising directly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • General office duties including answering phones, office orders, filing, and other ad hoc duties as required.
  • Maintaining internal databases and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Approximately two years' experience in a bookkeeping role.
  • Must be competent in MYOB AccountRight.
  • General accounts experience, qualifications preferable.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience with MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good computer skills and technology savvy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A flexible can-do attitude with a willingness to help out where required.
  • Knowledge of corporate accounting practices
