The Role / Position Description
Playing a pivotal role in an all round position, as you report into the Group Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Ongoing and varied support for a wide range of business areas
- Developing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Answering incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Accounts payable duties
- Accounts receivable duties
- Assist with any required reporting
- Welcome on-site visitors, monitor access passes and provide required information / direction
- Ordering and maintaining office supplies
- Assist with tender submissions
- General office duties
- Updating and maintaining internal databases
- Other ad-hoc duties required by management
Ideal CandidateThis role will suit an experienced professional with a combination of experience in both administration and accounts. Additionally you will have the following:
- Experience working in a fast paced / varied environment
- Excellent telephone manner, communication skills and customer service skills with a positive "can do" attitude"
- Effective time management and organisational skills, with an ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads
- Self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative in problem solving and in exercising judgement
- Prior experience in an industry such as construction, manufacturing or maintenance is ideal
