ACCOUNTS / OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Henderson, Western Australia

Full-time role

Salary will be negotiated in line with experience and skills

 

Kerr Engineering is a large engineering company specializing in all forms of customized metal work, machining and fabrication. Kerr Engineering caters for all general and extra-ordinary engineering requirements and aspires to provide excellent and reliable service to our clients.

We are seeking an EXPERIENCED Accounts / Office Administrator to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team and be part of a leading Engineering Company. We promote an inclusive and collaborative culture at Kerr Engineering.

About the role

This position reports to the Managing Director.

 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Accounts payable - all functions
  • Accounts receivable - all functions
  • HR and Payroll activities
  • Office filing, banking and administration support
  • Answering general enquires via email and phone
  • Greeting customers

 

Other duties may also include:

  • Procurement assistance such as creating and issuing purchase orders, maintaining and negotiating vendor pricing and deliveries, recording and contributing to data analysis improvement

 

About you

To be considered for this role your previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded. You will be a strong communicator and flexible team player with a positive and professional can-do attitude. You will be able to juggle conflicting priorities with ease and initiate and maintain positive working relationships.

 

Essential requirements:

  • A minimum 5 years experience in similar role
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with MYOB or similar (minimum 5 years)
  • Knowledge of ECI M1 (would be advantageous)
  • Strong accounts payable and accounts receivable experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Comprehensive and advanced understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • High level of communication and customer service skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work efficiently and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Current West Australian drivers license and access to own transportation
  • Australian citizenship
