Hays Recruitment has partnered exclusively with a well established organisation to recruit an experienced Accounts Officer for a permanent, full-time position. This vacancy has arisen due to an internal promotion, and the business is seeking someone who can start as soon as possible.
Your new role

• Permanent full-time role
• Standard hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, with flexibility expected on both sides
• On site role, due to the nature of the work (data entry, supplier and customer interaction)

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the smooth operation of the Accounts Team by managing a wide range of transactional finance responsibilities, including:

• Full function Accounts Payable, including GL coding checks, supplier statement reconciliations, invoice approvals, and management of outstanding purchase orders
• Banking and allocation of all receipts
• Full function Accounts Receivable
• Invoicing across multiple charge types, including miscellaneous fees and adjustments
• Purchase order management
• Responding to invoice and account queries
• General and ad hoc finance duties as required

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience in a similar Accounts Officer or transactional finance role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage competing deadlines
• Confident communication skills when dealing with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
