Job Description - Accounts Officer - Generous Compensation

About the company
Our client is a small, established financial services firm based in the CBD, who are looking for a team member to join as an Accounts Officer, reporting to the Financial Controller.

About the role
This role will be part time (circa 21 hours per week) on a permanent basis.

Working as part of a small, close-knit team, key responsibilities will include:

Daily bank reconciliations and monitoring of cash flows.
Banking
Processing of Mortgages, which includes interest collection & distribution, settlements/increases, discharges, investor changes, broker distribution, and managing default reporting
Accounts Receivable including follow up of outstanding balances
Accounts Payable ensuring suppliers are paid on time
IAS
Generating end of month reports and preparing relevant monthly reconciliations
Assisting the Financial Controller with audit month end, cashflow and yearend rollover in accounting software
Helping staff and external parties in relation to accounting queries

About you

Experience with SAP is desirable
Are you immediately available - if yes you could start next week! (not essential)
Accounts / Bookkeeping experience or partially qualified CPA candidates with fund management or trust accounting experience
Experience in an accounts receivable or payable role
Experience in financial services required and exposure to mortgage funds highly regarded
