Accounts Payable Officer

Bowra & O’Dea is the largest family-owned funeral company in Western Australia. The O’Dea family and their staff have been committed to providing outstanding service to their clients since 1888.

 We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our friendly and dynamic Accounts team. The position is based in our Highgate branch and is for an immediate start.

 Duties include:

• High volume processing of supplier invoices and ensuring they are entered in an accurate and timely manner
• Timely payments of invoices
• Liaising with our branches to follow up on invoice approvals and any discrepancies
• Liaising with our suppliers to follow up on any discrepancies and payment details
• Ordering stationery and consumables for our 10 branches
• Petty cash reconciliation for our branches
• Assisting the Financial Controller and Company Accountant where required

 Requirements for the role:

• Experience in a high paced, high volume work environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Proactive and ability to think outside the square
• Good customer service manner and communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Experience with Xero is desirable
