High volume, fast-paced AP processing role with a continuous improvement focus | Centrally located Your new company A well-established national organisation is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AP professional who enjoys transactional accuracy, stakeholder interaction, and contributing to continuous improvement within a collaborative finance function. Your new role Reporting to the AP Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and in line with internal controls and policies.Your responsibilities will include: - Processing high-volume invoices, ensuring correct coding and approval workflows - Investigating invoice discrepancies and escalating issues where required - Preparing and processing electronic and manual payments in line with payment schedules - Performing invoice and accounts payable reconciliations - Supporting month-end and period-end activities, including audit preparation - Responding to routine vendor enquiries and supporting dispute resolution - Maintaining accurate vendor master data and assisting with new vendor onboarding - Contributing to process improvements and maintaining well-organised financial records What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: - Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or transactional finance role - Strong understanding of invoice processing, payments and reconciliations - High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy - Experience using financial systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills - Confident communication skills when dealing with internal stakeholders and vendors - A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt What you'll get in return - Stable, long-term opportunity within a reputable organisation- Supportive team environment with strong leadership - Exposure to structured finance processes and best-practice controls - Opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call Michelle Fitzgerald on 0892544508 now.
