Accounts Payable Officer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys working collaboratively to deliver accurate and efficient accounts payable services across a multi-entity business.

About the Role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will provide end-to-end Accounts Payable support across the organisation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and the wider Finance team to ensure invoices, payments, reconciliations, and queries are managed accurately and efficiently.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating new vendors and maintaining vendor master data
• Reviewing invoices and credit card reconciliations through SAP Concur
• Processing and reviewing employee expense claims
• Preparing and processing weekly payment runs, including self-review and quality checks
• Managing Accounts Payable queries through the internal ticketing system within agreed service levels
• Reviewing and resolving mapping exceptions in SAP Concur
• Performing monthly supplier reconciliations for key vendors
• Supporting the Financial Control team during month-end activities
• Processing GST, dividends, and other ad-hoc payments
• Reviewing and resolving aged Accounts Payable items
• Preparing journal entries to resolve AP-related banking transactions
• Supporting rotating tasks across the Accounts Payable function as required

Essential

• Previous Accounts Payable experience within a large team or multi-entity organisation

• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities

• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Excel and Teams

Desirable

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

• Experience using SAP Concur, Pronto and/or Navision
