Accounts Payable Officer - Exciting Challenge

3 Month Contract | South Canberra Location | $40.00 - $45.00 per hour plus 11% Superannuation | Commence Immediately

OVERVIEW

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team, to assist in a backlog of accounts payable functions. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the CFO to ensure finance is viewed positively by the operations team by enabling supportive working practices.
• Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable and bank reconciliation process for all entities in the consolidated Group.
• Actively manage debtors to ensure accounts are paid on time.
• Prepare aged debtors' reconciliations to manage outstanding payments, approved payment plans, and repayment schedules.
• Perform accounts payable duties, including the creation of invoices.
• Assist in streamlining and automating the high volume of daily transactions.
• Identify possible process improvements in the role and discuss these with the Finance Manager and CFO.
• Support other members of the finance team during peak workload times.

 

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

• 12 months+ experience working in Accounts Payable
• 12 months+ experience working with Xero
• High degree of interpersonal communication
• Ability to be flexible and agile in a challenging and changing environment.
• High degree of problem-solving abilities and initiative
• High level of attention to detail
