Job Summary:

Light & Wonder is in search of a meticulous Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team. This position entails ensuring invoices and payments are processed efficiently and accurately, while upholding excellent customer service and policy adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Processing : Accurately and efficiently process incoming invoices from vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Enter invoice details into the accounting system accurately, maintaining a high level of data integrity.

• Payment Processing : Prepare and review payment batches for accuracy.

• Vendor Communication : Correspond with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and other accounts payable-related matters in a timely and professional manner. Assist in maintaining positive relationships with vendors through timely payments and effective communication.

• Expense Reconciliation : Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for and discrepancies are addressed promptly.

• Document Management : Maintain organized electronic and physical records of invoices, payments, and other accounts payable documents for audit and reference purposes.

• Expense Coding : Assign appropriate general ledger codes to invoices and expenses to facilitate accurate financial reporting.

• Month-end Close Activities : Assist in month-end close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting as needed.

• Compliance and Policy Adherence : Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements, including tax regulations and vendor contracts.

• Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including purchasing, finance, and other departments, to resolve issues and improve overall accounts payable processes.

• Audit Support : Assist auditors during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to accounts payable activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate/Diploma in Accounting highly regarded but are not essential.

Experience:  

• Minimum 4 years professional experience in Accounts Payables

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong understanding of accounts payable principles, procedures, and best practices.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Navision, SAP, Oracle

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processing.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Commitment to upholding ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
