Accounts Receivable / Credit Officer

This organisation is a well-known, retail organisation based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne. Operating for well over 30 years, the business has experienced significant growth over the last 10 years through a variety of strategic mergers & acquisitions. Despite their successful growth story, the business maintains strong family values and offers a supportive team environment. While operating in the retail sector, the business services the Trade sector and is well placed to thrive in any challenging macro-economic conditions that may be looming. You will work closely with an impressive Finance Manager who will nurture your development.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to support the growth of the business and expansion into several new locations. You will work closely with a well tenured transactional finance team & be mentored by the Finance Manager. This role is temporary and will last for 2-3 months. This role is based 5 days on site due to the short nature of the assignment.

You will be responsible for:

• Accounts Receivable
• Invoicing
• Banking
• Allocations
• Reconciliations
• Collections of Overdue Payments
• Place Accounts on Stop Credit
• Review New Credit Applications

Your Profile

To be successful in this role will have a strong background in similar Accounts Receivable / Credit Control. The client is open to a wide variety of profiles as long as you have strong experience with the key tasks listed above. This role is to start immediately so you must be available to start right away. As this role is 5 days based on site, you must be comfortable working in an office environment.
