Accounts Receivable Officer (12 month contract)

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor has a key role within the Finance Department. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will work closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager in guiding & mentoring the collections team to improve operational efficiency & effectiveness and optimize performance.

Reporting directly to the Accounts Receivable Manager, this position involves cultivating and sustaining relationships with sales teams, business operations, and key customers. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will lead a team of collection officers, overseeing day-to-day operations, providing leadership, mentoring, assisting with recruitment, and managing escalations within the Retail collection team.

This position requires a proactive approach to credit management, strong interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills aimed at rectifying operational is sues impacting the credit team, and improving overall efficiency and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will play a significant role in achieving financial goals and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure timely contact with customers to secure commitment for invoice payments in accordance with agreed terms.

• Oversee the efficient processing of all received payments, adhering to the organization's accounting policies.

• Engage with customers via telephone/email to identify reasons for overdue payments, facilitating resolution.

• Document conversations with customers to maintain accurate records and contribute to the reduction of aged debt for Henry Schein.

• Provide leadership in working with IT and other business functions to resolve day to day system & process issues that impact operational deliverables.

• Collaborate closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager on Accounts Receivable projects to enhance outcomes for both customers and Henry Schein team members.
