Your new company
You will be joining this well-known not-for-profit organisation on Sydney's Northern Beaches, in a newly created role. This growing organisation has recently implemented new systems, with further plans to modernise, and a passionate team of staff who collaborate together in a thriving community that gives back to those in need.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the end to end Accounts Receivable process as part of a close-knit finance team, and reporting into an enthusiastic AR Manager. Working alongside experienced Accountants and Accounts Officers, you will have visibility across the inner workings of the entire business. You will be joining the organisation as an experienced AR Officer and will be picking up with things at a busy time for them. Your main duties will be as follows:
- End-to-end billing activities, including for NDIS clients
- Chasing overdue debtors and sending out reminders
- Handling payment investigation and disputes
- Investigating discrepancies proactively
- Supporting resolution and payment plan creation
- Processing direct debits, credit card and cheque payments
- Matching and coding of incoming payments to ledger
- Allocating payments and occasional cash receipting
- Reconciliations using Excel
- Processing and sending invoices
- Journal creation
- Variance analysis
- Reporting of aged debtors
- Issuing monthly statements
- Maintaining compliance and financial policies
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Proactively seeking to improve processes
What you'll need to succeed
You will have at least 3 years of experience in a full-function AR role and will have excellent time-management skills. You will have experience of using large ERP software such as Oracle, SAP or Dynamics, and will have a customer-centric focus with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Having a reasonable aptitude with Excel and reconciliation skills will ensure that you can hit the ground running. Any experience in a NFP or NDIS focussed environment would be highly regarded. You should be available to start no later than 13th January, but there is an option to start before Christmas too.
