Job Description - Accounts Reconciliation Officer

We are looking for a full-time Accounts Reconciliation Officer to join the team at our global Head Office in Cannon Hill, Brisbane. Working within a supportive team you will be responsible for the reconciliation of 10+ finance credit providers available to our customers across Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

This is your opportunity to take the next step in your banking career working with an ASX and NZX listed international omnichannel brand. You will be an integral part in the ongoing support of our retail and support centre teams whilst gaining exposure and experience in a fun, dynamic, inclusive, and fast-paced retail environment, that offers fantastic team member purchase privileges.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Daily reconciliation of received cash receipts against point-of-sale and online transactions.
  • Identification of variances and escalation for resolution within KPI timeframes.
  • Inbox management and excellent customer service for retail operations, stores, and internal stakeholder queries.
  • Bank journals created and uploaded for balance sheets and credit provider fees.
  • Payment plan management in financial system to ensure store point-of-sale up to date with current customer offerings.
  • Weekly reporting for internal stakeholders of the business detailing current debtors’ position and actions required.
  • Month-end balance sheet reconciliation of finance providers’ cash receipts, special order accounts and layby funds.
  • Regular reviews of current processes to identify and offer process improvement suggestions to management.

As the successful applicant you will possess the following attributes:

  • Accounts receivable experience is essential and within a retail environment will be highly regarded.
  • Superb time management skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Customer service focused with a desire to provide outstanding experiences for our stakeholders.
  • Developed computer skills with an intermediate excel skill level.
  • ERP System experience. Microsoft D365 desirable.
  • Self-starter with proven ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
