We are seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic and qualified individuals, across a variety of disciplines, to join our casual academic and professional pool at the University of Melbourne. 

About the Opportunity: 

The University regularly engages casual academic and professional staff to contribute to teaching, marking, tutorial facilitation, and student support across a range of disciplines. These roles support the delivery of high-quality education and a positive learning experience for our students. 

We are looking for expressions of interest in areas including (but not limited to): 

• Business, Economics, Education, Engineering, Information Technology, Science, Medicine, Dentistry, Health Sciences, Law, Architecture, Building and Planning, Arts, Fine Arts and Music  

• Undergraduate and/or postgraduate course support 

• Tutorials, lectures, workshops, marking and assessment  

About You: 

We welcome submissions from individuals who: 

• Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification (Masters or PhD preferred) and/or equivalent relevant academic or practice-based experience and/or accreditation and expertise 

• Have demonstrated experience or strong interest in teaching in a tertiary setting 

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Can work collaboratively within a diverse academic environment 

• Are committed to student success and quality teaching outcomes 

• Will maintain a valid Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC) for the duration of their engagement with the University.

This process allows us to build a register of qualified candidates for casual academic work as it becomes available throughout the year. Inclusion in the pool does not guarantee employment but ensures you will be considered for suitable roles as they arise.
