About the role
• The Administration Assistant - Procurement is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing IT products and services from vendors and suppliers.
• Work closely with the Sales, Technical, and Finance teams to ensure that the procurement process is efficient, effective, and cost-effective.
• The Administration Assistant - Procurement will also manage the inventory, delivery, and quality of the IT products and services purchased.
Key duties and responsibilities
• Research and identify potential vendors and suppliers of IT products and services.
• Request and compare quotes, proposals, and contracts from vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate the best terms and prices for IT products and services.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and invoices.
• Track and monitor the status and delivery of IT products and services.
• Ensure that the IT products and services meet the quality standards and specifications.
• Manage the inventory and stock levels of IT products and services.
• Resolve any issues or problems related to the procurement process.
• Maintain and update the procurement records and reports.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• General administration duties.
Essential skills and qualifications
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
• A willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
Desirable skills and qualifications
• Knowledge of IT products and services, vendors, and suppliers.
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Experience working with IT vendors and suppliers within the Australian market.
• Experience using Xero or similar accounting packages.
• A current driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
