The Company…

The Company is a well-recognised supplier of fabrication and engineering machinery, tools, and equipment to the mining and construction industry. They provide precision in their steadfast service with an outstanding range of selected products to meet the required expectations of their clients. They are currently seeking to employ an Administration Officer.

 

The Position…

This position is a full-time fixed term 9-month maternity leave position, with the possibility of ongoing opportunities in the business beyond the 9-month term (but not guaranteed). The primary purpose of the position is to assist in the smooth operation of the purchasing department, assisting with customer service, administrative tasks and financial functions, namely accounts payable and receivable. You will need to ensure that all in-bound enquiries are handled professionally, sales orders and general administration duties are carried out, so that each sales process can eventuate efficiency.

Part of the role also includes purchasing, invoicing, accounts payable/ receivable and ensuring receipting of sales are completed. You will be required to utilise the company’s communication system and database to accurately record and update detailed customer information.

 

The Ideal Candidate…

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar administrative position and from within a comparable field. 

Further skills required:

  • Must have accounts payable or accounts receivable experience.
  • Be professional, well-spoken, and collaborative in liaising with customers.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Be driven to succeed and motivated to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organisation skills, high attention to detail and able to work autonomously.
