LMP Project Services is a local family owned and operated company servicing Mackay, the Coalfields, Whitsundays and beyond. Established in 2008, LMP Project Services provides a wide range of plumbing, construction and civil construction services to the commercial, mining & industrial sectors in the Mackay region.

About our Opportunity:

Our administrators are the backbone of our operations and this role will be critical in providing ongoing support to our site-based teams. Based at our head office in Nindaroo, our administration team pride themselves on a friendly workplace where career progression and personal development is promoted and encouraged.

The Administration Officer is a vital role, responsible for providing efficient administrative support to ensure smooth operations. This position requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, as well as a strong work ethic. Full training and guidance will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general administrative tasks, including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records;
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, conferences, and events, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made;
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as required;
  • Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring inventory is maintained and orders are placed in a timely manner;
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail, and redirect them as necessary;
  • Maintain and update databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information;
  • Support the training, recruitment & onboarding processes by coordinating interviews, preparing job postings, and assisting with onboarding activities;
  • Support our finance team with accurate data entry and ad hoc administration tasks as required;
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of administrative tasks;
  • Handle any ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Administration and/or Business qualifications are an advantage but not essential
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, demonstrating strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
