Health and Safety Advisor – Gove, Northern Territory

About the role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Health and Safety Advisor to provide dedicated health and safety support to the Operations and Closure teams at Gove. The role will also partner with contractors to support the safe delivery of services and projects.
This is an outstanding opportunity to step into a visible, value-adding role where you will shape safety outcomes, influence critical risk performance and build broad exposure across operational, contractor and closure environments at Gove.
Reporting to the Superintendent Health & Safety and working as part of a high-performing, cross-functional team, you will provide trusted safety advice and partner with leaders, contractors and frontline teams to strengthen critical risk management, assurance and continuous improvement across Gove Operations and Closure.

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong technical safety capability, sound judgement and the confidence to influence across all levels of the business.

Where you’ll be working
Our Gove site in Australia’s Northern Territory has been supplying the global aluminium industry with world-class bauxite for more than 40 years.
Gove bauxite is shipped internationally as well as domestically to supply Queensland Alumina Limited and Yarwun refineries in Gladstone, Queensland.
These refineries produce alumina as feedstock for our Australian aluminium smelting operations and for sale on the international market.
