Job Description - Airport Operations Coordinator

Job Description

As the Operations Coordinator, no two days will be the same, where you will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of the Cabin Cleaning operations at Sydney Airport. This role has a strong focus on coordinating Team Leaders and other staff members in ensuring operations are running in a safe, systematic, and efficient manner with a focus on high levels of quality and procedural process. The Operations Coordinator frequently communicates with clients such as Qantas, and other key stakeholders. You will be required to have the ability to be available to work shifts which could commence as early as 04:00 am and finish as late as 24:00 midnight. 

 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage Team Leaders and other key personnel ensuring the operations are being delivered in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Planning and allocating of teams in your relevant Port.
  • Managing, allocating and overseeing flight information using various software tools and data feeds as well as radio and telephony communications associated with Star Aviation customers to ensure services are being delivered in accordance with contractual arrangements and service level agreements.
  • Working with Airlines on day of operations and reporting and responding to information associated with the services we provide. 
  • Liaise with Relevant Duty Manager to ensure published rosters are meeting the levels of operational robustness and maintain support training recovery planning stages.
