Job Description - Allied Health Manager




Our client is a prominent disability service provider local to South-West Sydney. Their aim is to help their clients and participants reach their goals.







The organisation has a growing multidisciplinary team of Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Early Childhood Teachers, Therapy Assistants, and Support Workers.







They are looking for a confident and experienced Allied Health Manager with strong leadership qualities to join their team.







The role will include managing a multi disciplinary team of Allied Health professionals who provide assessments and interventions to children, youth and their families with a wide range of developmental conditions and special needs, including autism. The position also allows for flexibility and independence in your work arrangements and workload.







You will also be involved in the recruitment of new therapists, implementing new procedures and processes, managing the day-to-day functioning of the allied health department and focused on maintaining a high level of service while also supporting business growth.







The role will also allow you to have a small clinical caseload in your discipline to maintain your clinical skills in the field.






Requirements



The successful candidate will have:



  • Degree in Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Psychologist or Equivalent

  • Previous experience working with people with disabilities and/or clients with complex needs

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their families and staff

  • Ability to work flexible hours

  • Current Police Check

  • Current WWCC or willing to obtain one

  • Exceptional time management skills

  • Knowledge of the NDIS system and process (preferred but not essential)

  • Being able to lead a dynamic team
