Job Description - Allocation Operations Coordinator

BRC Piling & Foundations are a Melbourne based privately owned Piling Company under the wing of Delta Group- One of the largest diversified contractors of our type in the world today.

We are seeking an experienced Allocation/ Operations Coordinator.

As an Operations Coordinator for BRC, you will be assisting in the delivery of complex and significant demolition and civil projects. You will work with a blue-chip client base and a growing workbook of high-profile projects across Victoria. 

 Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in maintaining a month in advance (minimum 4wks) forecast of supervisory, workforce and plant requirements for the contracted workload.
  • Coordinate site supervisory and workforce personnel to ensure their duties/tasks are matched to project operational requirements set out in forecast.
  • Manage the Transport and Maintenance operations to ensure customer (site) needs are met, and these support operations are run efficiently without wastage. 
  • Raise and issue purchase orders for all purchases according to BRC procurement guidelines.
  • Procure products which are best fit for application and track using asset management system.
  • Assist with recruitment of site-based workforce and supervision and maintain records of professional development, career progression and non-compliance.
  • Work to the guidelines of BRC Group’s triple certified QSE management systems.
  • Knowledge and application of relevant Australian Standards.
  • Risk assessment and management.
  • Planning, progress monitoring and reporting, including audits and/or inspections.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QSE management systems.

 

To succeed in this role, you will have a range of skills and attributes, including:

ESSENTIAL

  • Relevant operations/logistics related experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Passion for people and their safety.
  • Permanent residency.
  • Drivers License and Vehicle
  • Demonstrated communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Desire to learn, develop and shape your tomorrow.

 

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in Structural Civil Construction will be highly regarded.
  • Proven capacity to multi-task.
  • High level proficiency in most Microsoft Office 365 packages with a strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and follow up.
