St John of God Subiaco is welcoming additional specialists and expanding our capacity. We are looking for skilled Casual Anaesthetic Technicians to support our growing four‑theatre suite and contribute to high‑quality perioperative services.

As an Anaesthetic Technician, you will be responsible for the provision of patient care, with special regard to all types of anaesthesia and maintenance of associated equipment. The role is offered on a Casual basis

The Position:

• Act as the patient advocate.

• Preserve patient confidentiality.

• Deliver competent assistance throughout the anaesthetic phase in both routine and emergency situations.

• Ensure patient safety throughout the anaesthetic phase, in particular with respect to the nominated position of the patient.

• Participate in the daily maintenance of associated anaesthetic equipment.

• Contribute to the orientation and continuing learning and development of new anaesthetic caregivers and other Operating Rooms caregivers.

• Cooperate with Staff Development Nurse in formulating formal and informal learning sessions for specific orientation or learning programs.

You will hold a Certificate IV and/or Diploma in Anaesthetic Technology, with a minimum of two years’ recent experience in the role. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of professional standards and maintain relevant workplace competencies, enabling you to confidently support anaesthetic procedures and deliver safe, effective care in both routine and high‑pressure environments.

Demonstrating the ability to work autonomously, you will be able to apply sound clinical judgement to implement care plans under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Strong problem‑solving skills will see you effectively respond to changing circumstances, with appropriate escalation when needed, supporting high‑quality patient care and efficient perioperative services.

• Casual Hourly rate: $49.85 to $60.85, depending on experience and qualification (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation
