Job Description - Analyst Support Officer


At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training. 


 


 



  • Ongoing Full time

  • Multiple roles available

  • Located in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available

  • Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6 with salary ranging from $99,938 to $110,271 + super and annual leave loading

About the role


 


The Financial Planning & Reporting Support team is looking for a customer-focused and proactive Analyst Support Officer to provide specialist support to schools across NSW.


 


In this role, you will work directly with school stakeholders, providing timely advice and guidance on budget planning and reporting processes and tools. You will help schools build capability, resolve financial and system-related queries, and ensure they have the support needed to make informed financial decisions.


 


Working in a collaborative team environment, you will liaise with a range of Finance and Shared Services teams to identify support needs, resolve issues, contribute to system improvements and help deliver high-quality services to our school communities.

Essential requirements of the role


 



  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting or a relevant discipline, or demonstrated successful experience in stakeholder/customer engagement in a Shared Services/Contact Centre environment

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
