Location: Department of Transport and Main Roads, Townsville Government Board, Northern District

Role Overview:
The AO4 Program Engagement Officer will be a vital asset to the Customer and Stakeholder Management (CSM) team within Northern Districts, focusing on addressing the shortage of specialized resources required for community engagement and communication services across active and upcoming projects. The primary responsibility will be to foster strong relationships with external stakeholders impacted by the Riverway Drive Stage 2 project (RWD2) and to implement strategies ensuring successful engagement with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with external stakeholders, especially those affected by the Riverway Drive Stage 2 project.
• Web Development: Regularly update and maintain project web pages, notably the Riverway Drive Stage 2 project page, and provide analytical reports and updates as required.
• Social Pinpoint: Develop and oversee Social Pinpoint web pages to facilitate community engagement and feedback.
• Communication Materials: Create proactive communication materials such as media statements, flyers, construction updates, and newsletters.
• Issue Resolution: Swiftly and effectively address low-level stakeholder issues and concerns.
• Correspondence Management: Manage a correspondence tracker to ensure timely responses to stakeholder inquiries.
• Data Management: Source stakeholder contact details and lot number information, and accurately input them into spreadsheets and consultation manager systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations, or a related role highly desirable.
• Proficient in web development and content management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
