AO7 Assistant Project Manager

Government agency looking for an Assistant Project Manager to assist with new school projects. Your new company


Our client is a government agency based in Brisbane that provides a multitude of products and services to deliver strategic project plans across a variety of Educated projects. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add a SO Senior Project Manager and 2 x Assistant Project Managers to their team to assist with the planning of their programs and other capital works projects.
Your new role

As the SO Senior Project Manager, you will:

• Develop Preliminary Evaluations, Detailed Business Cases, and Ministerial Infrastructure Designations for new school projects with minimal supervision
• Coordinate teams of external consultants for efficient development of the work
• Assist with procurement activities for the engagement of external consultants
• Liaise as necessary with internal and external stakeholder groups and agencies
• Provide project specific advice to management and the executive, and liaise with other project stakeholders
• Build and maintain high levels of communication and collaborative partnerships with internal units and external agencies to facilitate achievement of project objectives
• Develop and maintain project programs to a high standard
• Undertake project risk assessments to a high standard to ensure both project and corporate risks are captured and mitigated

What you'll get in return


You will be offered an immediate start in an initial 12 month contracted role with a state government agency based in Brisbane, with the possibility of an extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an AO7, AO8 or SO level rate + super dependent on experience.
