Application Support Analyst - Growth-Minded Organization

• 6 month contract with a view to extend | Based in Sydney

Our client is looking for an Application Support Analyst/IT Operations Analyst who will be responsible for investigating application issues and diagnosing the root causes whilst minimising service disruption.

The role manages incidents and service requests, whilst managing stakeholder expectations during triage. This is an operational role which responds to user inquiries, assess problems and issues and leads the resolution. Empowered to troubleshoot and skilled with basic technical skills to address issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement regular system upgrades to leverage the new features and upgrades of the Business Systems.
• Determine the root cause of issues, address the issues, and communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
• Configuring and managing alerts across all business systems
• Provide technical Support via ITSM tooling and/or phone to various support request from business stakeholders
• Respond to the issues and create tickets and escalate to next level support /high priority incidents team if required
• Resolve and diagnose a wide range of applications issues to avoid SLA breach

Key Skills Required:

• Ability to diagnose & address technical issues
• Demonstrated ability to manage third party vendors regarding system improvements, issue resolution, project timelines and availability
• Any kind of experience in application development or software development is good to have
• Strong research and analytical skills for investigating and exploring application integration issues and products
• Understand distributed computing and complex multi-tier applications
• Experience with logging, monitoring and auditing technologies such as Splunk, Datadog, AppDynamics, Splunk Observability
• Comfortable writing SQL queries (mySQL, SQL)
• Experience with logging, monitoring and auditing technologies such as Splunk, NewRelic
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence

Good to have skills:

• Experience in CI/CD -comfortable with Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins-Good to have
• Familiarity developing with AWS services stack
• Web or interface languages such as Javascript, AngularJS, React, HTML5
