The Planning and Quality branch of a Federal Government Department is seeking Maintenance Planner -level 6

Your new company

Hays Construction & Property is working with an integral Federal Government Department, who support the functions and provide essential services to one of our nation's most important buildings. The building is a large multi-faceted and complex building that requires ongoing preventative and reactive maintenance to always keep it operational. Within the Planning and Quality branch, they are seeking a Maintenance Planner - level 6.


Your new role

  • Under broad direction, you will proactively assist with the development of maintenance strategies, plans and procedures, ensuring all strategies and plans comply with relevant statutory codes, regulations and WHS requirements.
  • Analyse asset data and draft strategic asset management advice to inform asset lifecycle decisions, identify trends, detect anomalies and evaluate outcomes.
  • Prepare and contribute to a range of written materials including business cases, reports, Senate estimates submissions, briefings and corporate documentation.
  • Promote and support a strong team culture

What you'll need to succeed

  • Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in the government environment.
  • Must have commonwealth procurement experience
  • Technical background (engineering services or trade, facilities manager, relevant qualifications or experience).
  • Operations and Maintenance Manuals O&M's familiarity or ability to gain an understanding.
  • Building and/or engineering services understanding
  • Exposure and understanding to construction management
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.

What you'll get in return

  • 12 months Non-Ongoing Contract with view for permanency - salary $94k - $106k + 15.4% superannuation
