The OpportunityOur client is driving forward a significant policy reform agenda that is focused on implementing recommendations that came from the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability.
The opportunity is a long-term labour hire contract starting ASAP and continuing until 30 June 2025 with a 12-month extension.
You’ll join the
Commonwealth State Engagement Branch, which develops policy advice and proposes potential solutions to systemic challenges experienced by NDIS participants regarding the interface between the NDIS and the mainstream services funded and delivered by the government.

The RoleWithin the
NDIS Health Interface Team, your role will involve:
- Providing strategic policy advice on a range of issue relating to the interface of the NDIS and mainstream systems, particularly with health systems
- Supporting the team to prepare for work and negotiations with states and territories to better clarify roles and responsibilities of different systems and improve systems of cooperation between different levels of government
- Engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support the development of informed, strategic policy advice and the achievement of desired outcomes
The Ideal PersonThe ideal candidate for this role will come from a
social or health policy background with federal or state government.
You will also have:
- Experience in strategic policy analysis and development
- Experience working in a complex and fast-paced policy environment, including negotiation and influencing outcomes
- Excellent written skills, including ability to translate complex policy into written form to suit a diverse range of stakeholders
- Strong professional judgement
- Experience working in condensed timeframes and to changing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders
To be eligible for this role, you must:- Be an Australian citizen
- Be willing to undergo a police check
- Have, or be willing to obtain, a Baseline security clearance
Salary / Rate- $60/hr - $75/hr + 11% Super (includes casual loading)
- Labour hire contract starting ASAP and continuing until 30 June 2025 with a 12-month extension
