Your Opportunity

This exciting opportunity will see you utilise your strategic, innovative, and business acumen to support and guide Community Services teams across Western Sydney (WS).

As a senior leader, you will play a key role in providing strong people leadership, coaching, and guidance to Program Managers, enabling teams to deliver high‑quality, outcomes‑focused services. Drawing on your experience in community services and effective communication skills, you will represent Mission Australia across WS, building and strengthening relationships with priority government representatives, funders, local partners and corporate stakeholders.

This role offers the chance to influence service delivery, embed best practice, and contribute to the successful implementation of Mission Australia’s strategy at a regional level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Managers across the region to drive consistency in program delivery and share ideas, knowledge, and best practice.
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to ensure services meet or exceed performance targets and contractual requirements.
  • Lead and manage teams effectively, including coaching, development, and performance management of direct reports.
  • Provide regular feedback to the State Leader on the implementation of Mission Australia’s strategy, identifying risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Partner with the cross functional team and the State Leader to drive continuous improvement across services.

Requirements for Success

  • Minimum 5–7 years’ management experience in a relevant sector.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams across multiple service offerings within community or human services.
  • Proven ability to deliver business and service outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Strong people management capability, with experience in coaching and developing others.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships, including government and funding bodies.
  • A demonstrated commitment to community and social outcomes, with strong alignment to Mission Australia’s culture and values.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
