Area Manager – Marlow Hotel Group

Marlow Hotel Group are looking for a Hospitality Industry Professional to join our growing team. With a portfolio of hotels that has consistently been growing at approx. 1 hotel every 18 months, there is job growth opportunities available at a multi-site level with MHG.

An Area Manager at MHG will work seamlessly within the company structure, whilst being highly engaged with our businesses at the front/customer service end. There is a growth strategy for the Hotel Group and the fulfilment of this role would see the successful candidate work flexibly within the current configuration of the group, whilst being aware of the longer term structural aspirations of the Group, i.e. ability to work effectively during internal growth and change, will be necessary.

The successful candidate will be experienced across the Hotel/Pub sector for a minimum of 10 years, having undertaken leadership roles in one or several venues. The candidate should also have strong knowledge of revenue drivers; Gaming, Food, Beverage, Retail and Accommodation.

The requirements and responsibilities of the role primarily include, but are not limited to:

  • Experience in team building, preferably but not essentially, across multiple sites
  • Self-awareness around leadership style and ability to adjust style to create highest degrees of positive influence
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends (this is not a Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm role)
  • Proven capability to identify and implement strategies for both revenue generation and cost control
  • Excellent recruitment skills and strategies
  • Perform quality controls within venues and monitor KPIs of leading staff
  • Talent in finding ways to amplify quality of customer experience
