  • Package includes salary $99,938.00 - $110,271.00 plus superannuation and annual leave loading


 


 


About School Infrastructure | Asset Management Division


 


School Infrastructure (SI) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades, and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education at their local public school. This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.



About the role


 



  • Provide asset services to a group of schools within the Asset Management region

  • Liaise with consultants, contractors and other asset management staff to support the design,
    development and construction phases of projects

  • Delivery of capital works projects and all aspects of facilities management

  • Support timely and effective project delivery

  • Scope writing, estimation of project costs and manage budgets

  • Maintain sound working relationships with key stakeholders in schools, including community groups, to facilitate the provision of asset management services across the portfolio.

  • Provide support to School Principals in the development of lease and licence agreements for other users such as children's services, markets and sports fields, and provide advice to stakeholders on the process for procuring service providers.

  • Monitor, record and report on program progress in line with relevant processes and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements. Undertake analysis of the financial position of facilities management programs to support recommendations on corrective actions to AMU management.

  • Provide advice and input in the development of technical specifications and layouts for individual minor facilities management projects.

About you


 



  • Construction Project Management or Trade experience

  • Excellent customer service in dealing with key stakeholders

  • Knowledge in scope writing, along with the ability to estimate project costs and manage budgets

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.


 


 


Essential requirements of the role


 



  • Current and valid NSW Driver's Licence

  • Willingness and ability to travel across the assigned area of Southern NSW Asset Management

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
