Job Description - Assistant Account Executive - Insurance Broking

Assistant Account Executive role supporting senior brokers across commercial insurance Your new company
The firm is a growing Australian insurance brokerage with a strong presence across Victoria and Australia, which is known for its positive culture, low staff turnover and focus on long term careers. The business takes on a range of highly regarded clients, and colleagues are supported with clear development pathways and future opportunities.

Your new role
This is an immediate priority role, supporting experienced brokers with a mixed commercial portfolio. The position offers exposure to a broad range of risks and clients, alongside experienced senior brokers, within a stable and performance driven business. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys a structured support role, values teamwork, and is focused on building strong technical foundations before progressing further in their broking career.
  • Supporting senior brokers across a mixed commercial book
  • Preparing renewal documentation, certificates of currency and policy updates
  • Managing client documentation, endorsements and general servicing tasks
  • Liaising with insurers and internal teams to ensure timely outcomes
  • Using broking systems to manage renewals and timeframes (or learning these quickly)
  • Operating in a dedicated support capacity with clear expectations around progression timelines
What you'll need to succeed
  • Tier 2 General Insurance qualification, or on the pathway to completing this
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in insurance or a broking support role
  • Sound understanding of renewal processes and policy documentation
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a support role
  • Team oriented, professional and culturally aligned
