Job Description - Assistant Accountant

Our client is a successful project home builder, established for over 20 years. Currently building 150+ homes per year and due to natural growth, they have a pipeline of work coming up. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join their small team!

The Role

Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, up to 200 invoices weekly
Paying vendors and respond to all finance related queries
Manage all subcontractor payments, claims & contracts including ensuring necessary insurances are valid prior to work commencement
Continuous improvement of payment processes
Support the creditor function
Assist the wider Finance Team across adhoc requests & duties

About You

2 years minimum experience in an Accounts role, ideally within the construction industry
Tertiary qualifications within Finance/Accounting advantageous
Impeccable communication skills - Both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and data entry skills

Renumeration & Benefits

A remuneration package upwards of $70k - 80k + superannuation (experience dependent)
