As part of our continued growth in Australia, we’re hiring an Assistant Accountant to support day-to-day finance operations and ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient financial processes. Reporting to the Country Head of Finance, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career within a fast-paced, high-growth global tech business.
What You'll Do:
- Support accounts payable and receivable processing, including corporate credit card reconciliations.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal preparation and financial reporting.
- Support accurate coding of expenses and ensure consistent accounting practices across the business.
- Maintain the company’s fixed asset register, accruals, and prepayments.
- Assist with BAS, PAYG, payroll support, and other statutory obligations.
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual operating plan.
- Drive ongoing improvements in financial processes and support ad hoc finance projects as needed.
What You'll Bring:
- Recent experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency in Xero (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience with foreign currency transactions and reconciliations in a multi-entity or global business.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced functions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across global teams.
