Job Summary

The Assistant Accountant will handle the day-to-day finance activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, T&E and fund expense recharges for the Barings Australia groups. The individual will work closely with the wider regional APAC and global finance teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process vendor, service provider, and T&E invoices
• Collaborate with Procurement team on procurement process
• Manage fund expense recharges
• Arrange client invoice and billings
• Assist with the month end and year end book closing activities under both local statutory and USGAAP requirements.
• Provide support to ad hoc projects from time to time

Qualifications

• Accounting qualification preferred
• 5+ years of experience in financial services and/or asset management industry
• Be both hands on contributor as well as team player
• Detailed oriented
• Worked in a multinational corporate environment
• Experience in asset management industry
• Application skills including Workday, Concur, Zip, Excel & HSBCnet
