We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team and support accurate financial reporting, month-end processes and continuous improvement initiatives across our national network of early learning centres. This role offers excellent exposure to a large, multi-site organisation and genuine opportunities for professional growth and career progression.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journals, accruals and prepayments.

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, parent account and fixed asset reconciliations.

• Support financial reporting, department reporting and financial acquittals.

• Provide finance support to Centre Directors and Support Office teams, resolving queries with a customer-focused approach.

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, helping enhance controls, efficiency and automation across the finance function.

About You

• A genuine commitment to child safety, speaking up, always doing the right thing & an alignment to our Busy Bee values.

• Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

• CA/CPA qualification, or a commitment to completing professional accreditation.

• 2–4 years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role.

• Strong reconciliation, journal processing and month-end accounting experience.

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems and large ERPs.

• Excellent attention to detail, strong time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
