Assistant Beverage Manager - leading bayside Restaurant - Rewarding Work

Manly Boathouse, the thriving restaurant in Eastern Bayside Brisbane, is seeking a passionate and experienced hospitality professional to join our dynamic team as ASSISTANT BEVERAGE MANAGER.  Maybe you’re a head barman looking for your next career step, or a wine afficionado looking to work directly In a restaurant setting.  This is a role that will see no two days the same.  You will have an opportunity to assist curating our wine and beverage lists, manage all beverage stock, and train our staff to love wine, beer and cocktails as much as you do.

The Role

• You will work with the beverage manager on all aspects of wine and beverage service, beverage stocktakes and beverage control
• You will work in the bar, leading the team and delivering outstanding service to our guests
• You will work with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service, whether it be through your bar service, or helping clear tables – as we all work as a team to deliver amazing service
• Alongside the beverage manager, you will work with our suppliers to ensure that no delivery docket goes unnoticed and unsigned - you will be the friendly but strict gate-keeper of all beverage deliveries 
• As part of the leadership team, you will also help drive beverage sales, and develop, train and mentor staff in all things beverage related

Your skills 

• We want someone that has an amazing eye for detail and is super organised
• You will have experience in a busy and/or upmarket dining environment
• You will have solid wine and beverage knowledge, possibly even WSET accreditation
• You will have had some exposure to working with stocktakes, ordering and stock management 
• You will have sound knowledge of cocktail, spirits, wine, and beer 
• And you will display a positive, helpful and polite attitude towards guests and crew
• You will love what you do – and do what you love
