About the opportunity:
Purpose
The Assistant Delivery Manager manages the delivery of a number of industrial development projects across multiple investment funds, working both directly with Funds and also Joint Venture Partners. Reporting to the Regional Industrial Delivery Manager this role will support the wider Development and Delivery team. Key focus on maintaining relationships with key contractors and consultants, as well as communicating effectively with Tenant Customers and Funds Management Teams.
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for the project management of +$50m industrial projects where Charter Hall is the developer directly, or as a Joint Venture Partner, or in overseeing the delivery of “Fund Through” projects for Charter Hall Funds.
- Develop relationships with Contractors, Consultants, Tenant Customers, Agents, Owners and the wider industry to assist in securing pre-leasing opportunities and optimal delivery outcomes.
- Responsible for ensuring developments are effectively project managed and are delivered on budget and on time.
- Ensuring development delivery is administered as per the relevant agreements between Charter Hall and the tenant and between Charter Hall and the contractors
- Effective management and reporting of project costs including approval of costs in accordance with Charter Hall delegations of authority
- Ensure a high-quality overall design and outcomes achieved for projects delivered in accordance with the Charter Hall design brief and requirements of the Tenant Customers.
- Identification and management of construction opportunities and risks throughout the project life cycle.
- Monitoring Contractor performance identifying areas for improvement and any opportunities or risks in delivery
- Management of construction tenders and preparation of internal reports and papers to the Charter Hall boards
- Attendance and input at project meetings including Design Meetings, Project Coordination Meetings and Project Control Group meetings (PCG’s)
- Provide technical advice on project issues, e.g. infrastructure, building designs/specifications, construction issues and external specialist construction consultants
- Assist in review and updating of the Charter Hall Brief and delivery processes.
- Maintains a positive WH&S culture
- Conducts site inspections and attends site safety audit
- Reports on WH&S metrics for their projects
- Notifies and reports, via the business process, when incidents have occurred
- Ensures WH&S audits and incidents are closed out
- Creates and communicates lessons learnt
