Are you a gaming powerhouse who thrives when the sun goes down? The Deer Park Hotel is looking for a dedicated, experienced Assistant Manager to own our late-night operations and lead our high-performing gaming lounge into the early hours.

This is a role for a true professional. We need a leader who is comfortable taking full responsibility for the venue during the "Late Shift," ensuring our service is sharp and our compliance is 100% until the doors close. If you have a background in high-volume gaming and love the autonomy of a late-night leadership role, we want to hear from you.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• You will be the "Late Night General," responsible for up to 4 closes per week finishing at 4:45 am
• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA, gaming licence, RSG module 1 and 2 as per state requirements
