Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our establishment. You will work closely with the Owner to uphold our high standards of service, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, and inventory management.
- Train, supervise, and motivate staff to provide exceptional service and maintain a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Handle customer inquiries, comments, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor and maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Collaborate with the management team to create and execute marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
- Assist in scheduling staff and managing payroll to control labor costs.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the restaurant industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Reliability and punctality are key!
- Availability to work flexible hours for an event or function.
- Hold a valid RSA
- 12 month minimum commitment, this is a long term role.
- Ability to work autonomsly
