Assistant Trade Yard Manager - Mitchell

About the role 

A great opportunity has arisen in our Hudson Mitre 10 Trade Centre business for an Assistant Trade Yard Manager in our new Mitchell site. This is a Full-Time, Monday to Friday role working 7am-3pm.

What you will be doing

• 
  
  Lead, coach and motivate team members to achieve high standards of customer service, safety and productivity
  
  


• 
  
  Act as a point of escalation for customer and team queries within the department
  
  


• 
  
  Allocate daily work tasks, monitor performance and ensure workloads are completed efficiently
  
  


• 
  
  Foster a positive, respectful and safety‑focused team culture
  
  


• 
  
  Champion health and safety by ensuring safe work practices for staff, customers and contractors
  
  


• 
  
  Serve customers by assisting with orders and delivering fast, efficient and professional service
  
  


• 
  
  Receive and put away stock, predominantly timber and associated products
  
  


• 
  
  Pick, prepare and dispatch customer orders for delivery trucks accurately and on time

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Prioritise workload to effectively meet deadlines


• Must be physically fit and able to be on your feet all day


• An eye for detail and a sense of urgency


• Trade knowledge and experience in the contruction or timber/hardware (essential)


• Forklift Licence (essential)


• Car Licence (essential)
