About the Venue

The Clarendon Restaurant is a brand new 50 seater casual fine dining spot in the heart of South Melbourne. Our 'East meets West' Asian-fusion menu is headed up by Michelin trained chef Ryan Spurell, who's passion and creativity guides our every step. At The Clarendon we take a dynamic and wholistic approach to service, always striving to make every interaction engaging, and every guest feel like family.

Above the restaurant is the beautifully elegant, light-filled rooftop cocktail lounge Mirror Mirror. Boasting a fantastic drinks list, great DJ's and spectacular views of Melbourne CBD and surrounding areas, it's perfect spot for afterwork drinks, catch-ups, celebrations and the occasional private function.

About you

Tiffy Group is on the hunt for an experienced hospitality professional to fill the role of Assistant Venue Manager between both the restaurant and rooftop lounge. You will be a team player who is excited and invested in the growth of these exciting new venues, willing to put your stamp on things and take ownership over your role. 

The position will suit a candidate with outstanding leadership skills and the proven ability to positively impact a team and provide exceptional customer service. We are seeking someone with proven experience managing a multifaceted venue who can problem-solve and thrive in a busy environment.

What we are looking for

• A passion for creating a fun and engaging environment for both our customers and staff
• 2+ years experience in a management or supervisory role 
• Excellent communication and organisation skills; can give and take feedback willingly and openly
• Excellent food, beverage, cocktail, and service knowledge
• Ability to set and maintain standards and lead by example
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
