Associate Dentist

Hello!

A position has become available in Brisbane for an associate dentist at Capalaba Dental Surgery. We are flexible whether the new candidate joins us part-time or full-time, however our working days are:

• Every Friday (required)
• Fortnightly half day Saturdays 8am to 1pm (required)
• Other weekdays (optional, based on availability)

Capalaba Dental Surgery is an established practice which has been at the same locations for almost 40 years. We are looking for a motivated dentist to replace our outgoing dentist and look after our increasing patient base.

Our new dentist must be comfortable working as a solo practitioner as they are the lone dentist on some of these days. We provide a welcoming workplace where you can hone your skills. You will be supported by cohesive staff who are dedicated to providing quality service, allowing you to concentrate on your clinical skills, decision making and progress your dental career. For the right exceptional candidate, there is also an opportunity for partnership in the future.

Our non-corporate family-owned dental group currently boasts 15 dentists, with over 200 years combined experience across our sites. We have a good relationship with our specialist colleagues who join us regularly for our CPD sessions every 2 months, where we discuss and review clinical cases in a collaborative environment. This will give you the regular opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and experience of a range of practitioners and specialists from across south-east QLD.

Our practice owner is passionate about clinical dentistry and has completed over 1500 hours of Continuing Education, and enjoys mentoring privately and at UQ and ADAQ, covering a wide scope of practice including implant dentistry, full mouth conventional prosthodontics (direct or indirect), aesthetic dentistry, molar endodontics, oral surgery and more recently orthodontics. 

Our new dentist must possess the following:

Be comfortable working as a solo practitioner 

A commitment to exceptional and ethical patient care

A high standard of communication and personal presentation

A willingness to take on feedback, with a growth mindset of constantly improving

A willingness to invest in regular Continuing Professional Development, which includes compulsory in-house CPD every 2 months

A willingness to learn and practice a wide scope of general dentistry

Valid AHPRA registration, with no conditions

Eligibility to practice dentistry in Australia with no restrictions

A current Radiation Licence and relevant insurances (including Professional Indemnity)

Willingness to work Saturdays

New and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Remuneration is based upon experience and will be discussed during the interview. Experienced practitioners (3+ years) will be remunerated 40% commission.
